Race Recap: Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon & Lincoln Marathon

Heatsheets had a fun-filled weekend full of races! Here is a race recap featuring Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon and Lincoln Marathon.

The Flying Pig Marathon is one of the most popular races of its kind for first-time marathoners due to its flat terrain course. Despite the slight course changes due to construction, the marathon started and ended near the banks of the Ohio River. The hilly course required runners to climb up to 300 feet between miles six through nine.

A special shout out to Kerry Lee for her first “1st-place” win in the women’s division after placing “2nd” and “3rd” place for the past six years. We were all inspired by such commitment!

It was an exciting time, can’t wait to see everyone next year to celebrate 20 years of this marathon! We had a blast watching you guys #ShowOffYourHeatsheets!

More than 10,000 runners converged on Nebraska’s capital city this year for the 40th annual Lincoln Marathon organized by the locally based Lincoln Track Club. The Lincoln National Guard Marathon was run on a citywide course starting and finishing on the campus of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Congratulations to all the athletes that crossed the finish line, Heatsheets was proud to be your finish line blanket!

A Big thanks for #ShowingUsYourHeatsheets!
