April Race Recap: Boston Marathon, Illinois Marathon Presence 10k, Glass City Marathon

It was another huge weekend of races featuring Boston Marathon, Illinois Marathon Presence 10k, and Glass City Marathon. Here’s a recap of some of the highlights.

This year marked the 121st Boston Marathon and we were delighted to have boots on the ground, cheering you guys on along the way! This is the oldest annual marathon in the world and the most prestigious for everyday runners. The quirky, point-to-point route passed through eight cities and towns.

Congrats to all who crossed the finish line, we had a blast spending the day with all of you. Keep #ShowingUsYourHeatsheets for all to see, you guys were great!

The Illinois Marathon Presence 10k was a friendly, Midwest-spirited, flat course race with a photo finish inside Memorial Stadium. The course started near State Farm Center, and ran through downtown Champaign, finishing on the 50-yard line. Along the route of the race, runners were boosted with musicians, cheerleaders, and many other performers along the way.

Thanks to everyone for #ShowingUsYourHeatsheets! We loved celebrating your victories with you!

The Glass City Marathon is a 41-year-old Toledo area tradition known for being one of the 25 fastest courses in the nation and acts as a Boston Marathon qualifier. More than 4,000 runners and walkers took the streets of Toledo to start the race on Bancroft Street, in front of the University of Toledo, and crossed the finish line inside the Glass Bowl Stadium.

Congratulations to all of those who crossed the finish line. A special shout-out to Evan Gaynor for ranking first in the men’s division and Emma McCarron for taking home first in the women’s division.

Congratulations to all the runners, as always, #Heatsheets was proud to be your finish line blanket!
